Scope and Content

Two signs, printed letterpress on card stock with red and black ink. Blank backs. 1. sign text: "Violation / Subject to Fine / Jail Sentence or Both / Village of Saugatuck" 2. sign text: "Notice / Ordinances Nos. 3012 & 9041 / Prohibits / The drinking of, or open containers, of any alcoholic beverage on any public park, beach or place."

Context

These rather flimsy signs were likely produced locally and for short term use. The signs were used to remind visitors about local behavioral expectations, e.g. no drinking booze on the beach or in the streets.
