Scope and Content

Family photo album for the Mokers. It contains photos from various vacations between 1917 and 1920. The majority of the photos are of the Moker family vacationing in Saugatuck at a cottage that their friends, the Reeves, owned. Almost all of the images have a caption on them, including names, dates, and locations. They are glued onto the pages, which have begun to deteriorate. The album cover is green with the phrase, "Snapshots" embossed on the front cover. Includes photos of horses, fishing, farming, swimming, recreation, friendship, children, teens, automobiles, groups of people posing for the camera, buildings, on Mt. Baldhead, playing on the beach in the sand, Taylorville, barns, houses, dogs, and World War I-era men in uniform or at camp.

The photo album isn't in the best shape, but it can still be handled without falling apart. The cover has darkened, which makes it difficult to see the embossing. There are also a few tears on the spine and back. The pages have also begun to deteriorate and the binding has become loose enough that some pages have begun to fall out. The photos also show some deterioration. They have faded considerably, some to the point that some of the writing can't be read anymore. It would be good to scan the photos and try not to handle the album too often.
