Description

Three ships tied together with a steam-powered vessel in the middle to propel the other schooners along. The ship on the left is the BUTCHER BOY, a Barkentine-style ship built in 1868. The ship on the right is loaded high with lumber. Written on the back of the photo "Steam barge and tow barges for Hamilton Lumber Co. ?? about 1915 making dock at yard. Saugatuck, Mich."
