A signed copy of the book Saugatuck Art Colony by George Coutoumanos. Coutoumanos was a Greek poet who retired to Saugatuck. He wrote poems about the Saugatuck area and published them in 1945. This copy was translated from Greek by Rae Delvin. And he also received praise for this book from Warren E. Blake and May Francis Heath. The book has a brown paper cover and is bound with staples. There is the title on the front as well as a artistic design which contains an art pallette, an ink bottle, and a teepee. This is something Dianne Moker likely collected during her stay in Saugatuck.Collection

Archivist's Notes: The staples binding the book are rusty and have begun to damage the pages. It would be good to remove the staples at some point to prevent further damage.

There are a few tears in the book's cover, but the worst of the damage is from the staples in the binding. They are rusty and have begun to damage the pages. It would be best to remove the staples at some point to prevent further damage.Create Date
