Scope and Content

Collection of items associated with the 1930, 1968 and 1970 centennial celebrations plus Saugatuck's 125th anniversary in 1955. 1930 Saugatuck Centennial (±100 years since William Butler's landing): Black and white photo of a car in a parade with the caption “Post Office Saugatuck Centennial 1930” Poster for the Saugatuck Centennial Homecoming in 1930. A display of Envelopes from other cities named Douglas in the U.S. and Great Britain for the Douglas Centennial. A black and white Photo of people sitting in two cars. There is a list of names on the back identifying them. All 1976 U.S. BICENTENNIAL ITEMS moved to box 96 in 2021.
