Documents that pertain to significant locations or towns in the Saugatuck-Douglas area. This includes information on the plat of Saugatuck, Singapore, Douglas, Dudleyville, etc. There is also information on important locations within the towns, including historic buildings like the Lakeshore Manor and parks like Kalamazoo Harbor. These documents consist of handwritten notes and photcopies that Lorenz had made from various sources. He used copies of land sales in the county, marriages, which are arranged by county, and census for several towns that are arranged by year for his research. Another notable item in this series is the folder titled "Building Lists." This folder contains lists and maps detailing the locations of building in Saugatuck. In a personal notebook, Lorenz made maps of sections of the town and would then identify the location of certain buildings, both old and modern. The photocopies do show some deterioration, which is due to age. The letters have begun to fade, but are still legible. There are no signs of severe deterioration.
