Description

Real photos postcard of a group of people lined up inside a large building with wooden pillars and trusses. A U.S. "Yacht Ensign" flag is hanging vertically from the rafters. Two triangular swallowtail flags or burgees display the names "Saugatuck" and "Douglas". Additional decorations include strings of paper lanterns and a bell shape. Most of the people in the photo are wearing dark clothing, but some individuals are wearing baseball or scout uniforms and Indian or pilgrim costumes. Glints along the floor suggest the people are wearing roller skates so the location could be the skating rink. The photo could depict a Halloween or Thanksgiving celebration or event.
