Two scrapbooks containing documents and photos for the 1975 and 1976 Kitchen Walk hosted by the K.C Miller Guild. These were annual fundraising events for the Saugatuck-Douglas Community Hospital. The guild would host a pig roast with events to raise money for the hospital. The scrapbooks are large photo albums with laminated or sleeved pages. These pages contain memoralbilia from the Kitchen Walks. One book is for the 1975 event and the other book is for the 1976 event. Each book contains ads, newspaper articles, correspondence, and personal notes from Dorothy Battjes who was chairman, and then president, of the guild at the time. She documented the planning and execution of the Kitchen Walks in these scrapbooks and also included photos that were taken at each event.Cataloged By

GoodNotes
There is a minor to moderate amount of deterioration to these books, but this is mainly due to age. The newspaper clippings and some of the pages have begun to yellow and fade. The laminate sheets have also started to come loose, but are not in danger of falling out yet.General Notes
