Scope and Content

158 photocopies of pages from an illustrated travelog by artist and architect Carl Hoerman. The typewritten original was illustrated with line drawings on nearly every page. Carl's spouse Christiana and neighbor Mrs. Springer also made the journey. The trip began May 3, 1930 in Chicago and concludes outside Taos, New Mexico/Raton Pass/Manitou. The photocopies were acquired by James Schmiechen and produced from the original book owned by Siegfried Hoerman.
