Stapled booklet of self-duplicating receipts from the George J. Sewers and Sons fish market from the 1950s. The unused booklet has alternating pages backed with carbon to create a copy of each receipt as it is written. When in use, the cover is folded up and behind the uppermost receipt to protect the lower receipt's carbon backer from the pressure of a pen or pencil tip.Context
Entry includes photo and OCR scan of pages 100-105, "Details of Passage: the Wm. Carey" a Saugatuck boat transformed from an excursion launch to a fishing tug and gives a vivid account of fishing with the Sewers brothers.Cataloged By
