Scope and Content

Items from the extended Porter and Taylor family Autograph album dated 1866 Albany Law School with what seems to be class photos pasted on each page with the autograph. Real photo postcards and printed postcards, 1912-1913, Elise Asling of Saugatuck Printed card of Sojourner Truth Carte de viste (photographic visiting cards) from Penn Yan, New York area that were wrapped in a Putnam Fadeless Dye envelope. Each card is about 2x3.5" Tourist postcards from all over the world - most addressed to Mr. W.A. Taylor, in Washington, D.C. or Mrs. Taylor in Douglas, Michigan Brass-latched leather photo album imprinted "Hattie." on the cover. 8x5" inscribed inside with "Hattie L. Porter, Milwaukee, Sept 1863" Four photos of boys in long swimsuits with a rowboat and letters to Miss Grace L Taylor of Fennville and Misses Hattie and Lillie Porter Collection of 12 daguerreotype and ambrotype photos in decorative cases. The largest is 5 inches high, most are around 3 inches high, the smallest is 2 inches high. Many have notes taped to the cover or tucked inside. Green paper notes identify the photo process
