Description

Young women dressed for a tableau of symbolic characters including Day and Night (seated, far left and right), Justice (blindfolded with scale and sword), Poetry, History or Literature (writing on scroll), the Four Seasons, the Four Continents, Harvest, Cupid, etc. Notation indicated the sitters are Lottie Spencer, Hattie Spencer, Magie McDonald, Bell Dutcher, Lenore Spencer, Ethel Putnam, Jennie Smith, Saide Thomas and Ellen Kerr.
