Description

Painting of a saint, angel or devout woman in a pale blue dress with hands folded as if for Christian prayer. She has flowers in her hair and possibly a halo or veil surrounds her head. She gazes at an abundance of blooming flowers, perhaps a palm front. A dove raises its wings in the foreground. In the background, a pair of doves take flight into a blue sky. In the distance is a church and spire. Artist signature is in the lower right, on the hem of the woman's gown. The one-inch gilt frame is in danger of detaching from canvas.
