Notes: From the back of one of the cards: The S.S. South American is the only exclusively passenger ship sailing the Great Lakes with sleeping accomidations and facilities for dining at its best. Ports of call include Buffaloo, Cleveland, Detroit, Mackinac Island, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Houghton-Hancock and Duluth.
Oil-fueled, Ton-side sun, sports and Observation desks. Radare and ship to shore phone. U.S. Registry Ship.
The ship was launced Feb. 21, 1914 and ended 1967.
Built by the Chicago-Duluth-Georgian Bay Transit Co.
