Context

After graduation from Saugatuck High School in 1900, Ira ran the Koning Hardware business until he retired in 1951 He was a member of Saugatuck Fire Department, Saugatuck School Board, Fruit Growers State Bank Board, Lions Club, Mason, Order of the Eastern Star and First Congregational Church. His home was at 507 Butler Street.
