On the top of the invitation is penciled the name of Captain J.N. Upham, a prosperous lake captain. Tanner's Hall was located where the north side of the Mize Rose Garden is in 2025. Saugatuck House was where Saugatuck Drug Store is in 2025. Two dollars in 1872 is the equivalent of $50 in 2025. This invitation gives a peek into Saugatuck social life in 1872.Collection
