Perfect-bound compilation of students fictional but based-on-a-true-story writings about 26 ships of local importance Each chapter is about one ship, with an introduction to the multiple student authors, their dedications and the story. The featured ships are the Alpena, Arundell, Chicora, D.G. Wright, Gamecock, Kalamazoo, Milwaukee, Protection, Super Sport, Verano, Andaste, C.E. Bird, David Whitney, Globe, Hippocampus, Michigan, Rover, Bird, Joe, Waukazoo, Condor, John Edward, Lady Hamilton, May Flower, Milwaukie, and Pewabic. A companion CD "The Old School House presents: Shipwrecks, Scallywags, and Heroes by Mrs. Colsen's 6th Grade Class 2012" has a 21-minute presentation of photos of the students, their drawings and dioramas, and them working on the project accompanied by dramatic music. This was likely played during the exhibit opening.
