Description

Painting of Jim Sewers' boat barn, a red fishing shanty, two net reels and a gil-net fishing tug. Written on the back of the painting: Ca. 1960, Jack Sewer's [sic] boat the Johnnie S. named after his son lies at her berth by the Sewers' dock. Typically Jim Sewer's boat the Bonnie S. would lay bow upstream across the front of the red fish house. On the Kalamazoo River in Saugatuck Mich. Don Peel 3 Sept. 1996.
