We have been listened to with seeming interest, and no one will question but that it is a nice thing to have a band in the place, but you must bear in mind that it costs a great deal of time and money to keep up a band. We have got to have three new instruments, and as the community get the benefit and not ourselves, we shall expect them to shell out the means to buy them with, if they do not respond promptly we shall hang up the bugles and disband at once. We shall commence serenading next week and shall expect those that we visit to come down and do or say what they will do. We have received but two donations, one of $10 from F.B. Wallin , and one of 50 cts from D. Gerber, all of which have been duly appreciated L.A.
