Description

Series of 6 interpretive panels created for the Saugatuck Douglas History Museum at Mt. Baldhead Park. The five Learning Stations markers are baked porcelain enamel graphics panels mounted on pairs of metal legs. Station 1 The Water Revolution - description and diagram of Saugatuck's water system, text about the Pump House and fire fighting. Station 2 Nearby Plants and Woods with Sawdust Towns - illustrations and descriptions of wildflowers and trees Station 3 Dunes and Wildlife - How dunes are formed, Mt. Baldhead, Constance Bingham and the bear, pigeons Station 4 The Kalamazoo River - Remaking the river mouth, illustration of the Kalamazoo's course, use and fish and wildlife, text about pollution and descriptions of fish species. Station 5 Historic Saugatuck, Douglas and the Lakeshore (two panels)
