Evelyn Wright-Crawford who, along with her cousin Sara Cary [or Carey], double-hand sailed her 32-foot sloop "Lady Eileen" in the Chicago Yacht Club’s 1905 Chicago to Mackinac race. She was a founder of the Saugatuck Yacht Club and spouse of Andrew Hay Crawford of the Crawford Transportation Company, that from 1909 to 1913 made daily trips from Chicago with the H. W. Williams (later the Tennessee) and other steamships. The ships usually docked at the Big Pavilion.Collection
