Photo of a building that once stood on NE corner of Butler and Culver St. This image was featured as History Mystery #128 with the text: The historical Morrison - Leland home as it appeared on the corner of Butler and Culver in 1906. In October 1906, the rear wing was removed to the lot just to the east where it remains today. In addition, images the building before and after 1900.

Context

Built 1850 as Stephen A. and Mary Morrison family home, porches were added later. Notable owners include Julia (Morrison) Leland. Converted to boarding house "Leland Lodge" by grandson Lee Leland. In 1959, the Lodge was run by Fran and Ted Moore. The building was destroyed by fire in 1978 and replaced with the Viola Fox building.
