A single large passenger steamer is docked at the Goodrich Transit Co. warehouse. This very clear image is filled with details about Saugatuck and beyond. The presence of the basket factory in this view suggest it was taken before 1929 The original photo number is 95_89_3

Note

Note the new concrete, fully paved Main Street and the construction on the north of the old Lake Shore Pavilion is still dirt and not yet paved in brick. The steamer in the photo is G & M’s City of St. Joseph. Also, the foundation north of the building and south of the ferry hasn’t been constructed yet. Analysis by James T. Faasen, Sept 2024.
