Matteson’s popular “Horizon Series,” a unique blend of realism and minimalism, gives a sense of pleasure, rest and repose. Matteson understands that beauty is about the emotional connection of the senses. He truly believes when beauty integrates with the soul there is born a new kind of peace, wellness, and happiness.
Matteson paints in both his studios in Douglas, MI and Florida. Both are found on the water, which inspire his landscapes of water, earth, and sky.
