8x10 b/w photo of Center Street, Douglas. The photo shows an unpaved street, with raised walkway and four buildings that stood on the west side of Center street, between Washington and Main. In the distance (across Main street) a large advertisement/sign for Ben Weigert's Model Grocery store is visible. Moving to the right, a horse and buggy can been seen on Main St.; a small sign for a "West Mich Steam Laundry?"; two gents sunning an a bench in front of the W.E. Schultz Barber Shop; and two commercial buildings. One building has various wares on display on the raised sidewalk and a sign in the window offering "Tools ? Cutlery."
