Scope and Content

Compact Disc containing photos from the September 2005 SDHC Heritage Festival including many shots of SDHC members and winners at the Heritage Preservation Awards party at Petter Gallery, the Casco Band, docents and guests on the home tours, plein air painters, tour information booths and refreshment stops, a Douglas Dutchers base ball club game, trolley tours out to Pier Cove, Micheal Sweeney playing bongos at the Riverfire Spectacle night display, clothesline art show and folk musicians playing at Beery Field, the Duck tour amphibious vehicle R Knoll and Jim Schmiechen's "Victorians at Home" presentation at the SCA. Photos are between 700 KB and 1MB. The CD was produced by John Peters, SDHC press liaison, who likely took the photos.

Context

The Heritage Festival and Historic Homes Tour, September 16-18, 2005, featured six houses of the Civil War era in support of the Museum exhibit, Lincoln's Ready-Made Soldiers: Saugatuck Area Men in the Civil War.
