Description

Two gill net tugs frame net reels on the shore. The location is Clovers Landing/the Elbo Room near the Park House (888 Holland St.) According to Erik Peterson, Dan Clover owned the Park House and rented small fishing boats and equipment to walleye anglers. His wife Alice Clover ran a cafe on the site and their daughter Jean was married to fisherman Bob Peel. The tug in the center of frame may be Peel's tug the Thomas C. Mullen. The tug was owned by Peel from 1957 to 1979.
