Scope and Content

Saugatuck-Douglas History Museum opening for 2005 exhibit "Lincoln's Ready-Made Soldiers: Area Men in the Civil War." After a few words from historians Kit Lane and James Schmeichen, the Boyce brothers, dressed in period costumes, fire the Saugatuck cannon from the museum patio Art Tolsma, the town crier, then rings his bell to open the exhibit.
