Description

Two prints of the Koning Hardware interior. The space is packed with cans, lanterns, a fringed hammock, jug and wash basin set, cooking ranges. A capped customer waits at a glass display case with bins of hardware nails, etc. at his knees. Fading original (4.5x6.5") mounted on gray 8x10" cardstock has on back an address sticker from Eleanor M. Koning, 507 Butler Street and notes the men in the photo as (from left to right) Ira Koning, Customer, John Koning, Jim? Koning. A more recent 8x10 print (shown at left) has more details intact but cuts off some of the image along the right edge. Negative for this image at 2021.81.07 envelope letter I
