Description

Diminutive wooden net drying reel with a rectangular base and rotating rack with four crossbars. The reel is held together with nails and staples and is of a similar design to the larger reels once common on the Saugatuck docks.

Context

According to the donor, this reel was used to dry a small net used to catch minnows. The reel may have been used to stock bait for the Gleason Store in Saugatuck
