Scope and Content

Booklet with black-paper cover and bound with a gold ribbon. A gold bumble bee is printed on the cover. This item is a Saugatuck High School year book created by the graduating class of 1918. Title of the year book is "The Bumble-Bee." There were 13 graduates. Each has a senior photograph and poetic caption. Articles by students and staff including "President's Address" and "Class Prophecy" with local business advertisements at back of booklet. 32 pages. A. Bumble Bee 1918 from the Lorena/Penna collection B. 2nd copy of Bumble Bee 1918 donated by Thomas K. Tucker of Hutchins Lake, Fennville, Michigan. A note tucked inside the cover indicates that Thomas Tucker is the son of Marguerite Heinen Tucker, class secretary 1918. This entry also includes PDF of all scanned bookelt.
