Description

Lois Corkhill and another nurse fill out their paperwork in a basement with bare light bulbs, extension cord garlanding the walls and exposed pipes. This image was featured as History Mystery #46 with the question "In the old days folks had to make do! Where is this?" and the answer "The Community Hospital was a converted residence on the corner of Center St. and the Blue Star, ca 1950 - even the basement was crowded. Today the grand old place is the Kirby House B&B."
