This image was featured as History Mystery #29 with the solution: The band was the Silver Cornet Band and the photo was taken in the Saugatuck village square.
Research by James T. Faasen uncovered a 1884 newspaper clipping (below) about the organization of Saugatuck Brass Band that included Chris Zwemer, suggesting the photo was taken between 1884 and December 1886, when Mr. Zwemer committed suicide.
