Context

Analysis by James T. Faasen, July 2024: Christian "Chris" Walz building (on left) Built 1889 to replace Nichols building. Bird's Drug Store (on right) An interesting photo showing the stairway to the 2nd floor, but it also has the Sorenson Brothers Tailors in the back in the Hoffman Street storefront. Those are the guys who built the Sorenson building at 141 Butler Street. The date of the photo is after the water pump house was operational and fire hydrants were placed on Butler street.
