2021.57.22Scope and Content
Two index cards that list the names, types and dates of 16 ships built by R.C. Brittain. The cards were written by Diane Peterson. When the Peterson family owned the Ferry Store, in the back room they had an exhibit of photos and artifacts dubbed the Saugatuck Marine Museum. It was free, open when the gift shop was open.
Erik Peterson recalls (interview 11/5/2021) that when his father purchased the Ferry Store, Erik's mom and aunt had a gift shop at the Ferry Store. Later RJ Peterson's wife Diane ran the gift shop. The Ferry Store was purchased by Herk and Christa Wise and torn down to build the structure there (in 2021)Collection
