Description

Collection of women's accessories: Black bonnet-style had with laced edging and ribbon chin strap. Black drawstring bag with beaded fringe. Two bundles of black feathers, possibly fascinators, barettes or broches. Red ribbon tied in a bow with "Saugatuck Centennial" printed in white on the tails. Beige paper fan of floral-patterned paper. A note on the box says the donor is Mary Elizabeth Peckham. It is unknown if this is the same as Mary Elizabeth Peckham Morrison who died in March 1880.

Context

Said to be worn by May Heath as part of a historical costume for the 1930 Saugatuck Centennial celebrations.
