A motor boat cruises toward Lake Michigan, passing between the Saugatuck harbor piers. At the north side pier a dredging team is at work, smoke rising from their chimneys. A digging/excavation grab from a dredging rig is resting on the sand closer to the camera.
Although 1906 is written on the photo, the power boat suggests the 1936 dating. 1906 was the year the new channel opened. "Down at the New Harbor" is also written on the photo.Photograph Details
