A metal toolbox and sewing kit designed for puppet making. This kit contains the materials used by Burr Tillstom for creating and repairing his puppets. It is a sturdy green metal chest, the type of tool chest used by mechanics. It is 18 inches wide, 16 inches high and consists of a top compartment with three slide out drawers.
The top compartment contains spools of thread, sewing needles, pipe cleaners, measuring tapes, a brush, snaps, pipe cleaners, and some fishing bobbers.
The first drawer contains two small scissors, thimbles, needles, safety pins, a tiny pocket knife, single edged razor blade and some hat pins.
The second drawer contains approxamayely 100 wooden spools of silk and cotton threads, and two spools of fishing line.
The third drawer contains about twenty packets of bias tape, eight zippers, round elastic string, and white metal zipper tape.
The kit itself is in good condition. The contents are musty as if stored in a damp garage or attic.Context
