Scope and Content

A flier from 1933 about the instruction at what was earlier called The Summer School of Painting (now Ox-Bow). The flier cover has "Sylvia Randolph" and "1933" hand written on the bottom. The cover shows a blue and black illustration of tall clouds seen through trees at the edge of a lake, the title "Study and a bit of Play" and a small illustration of two artist's brushes and tube of blue paint. The back cover is a b/w photo of students painting a model "plein air" with the caption "Class at Work" The inside of the brochure describes the school's courses, ownership, terms, tuition costs, rooming costs, transportation and multiple paragraphs extolling the Summer School experience.
