July 21, 1977 4-page special section to the Commercial Record. The "Illustrated Guide" includes photos, description an a 2-page "Map shows 29 places which have figured in Douglas History" The map is signed "Fox", possibly Saugatuck artist John Martin Fox. The 29 places in 1977 were : 1. Bridge 2. Barn below Gray Gables 3. Gray Gables 4. St. Peter's Church 5. Tara 6. Kirby House 7. Douglas Center (Chase Manufacturing) 8. Douglas Elementary School 9. First School building (now thought to be 2nd school building) 15. Fire Station 16. Douglas Party Store 17. Douglas Congregational Church U.C.C. 18. Martin Building 19. Kerr Building 20.
