Soft paste ceramic plate with gold edge and embossed pattern. The edge of the plate is printed with for transfer images of snowdrops, and twelve rose wreaths. Each wreath encircles a monthly calendar from 1910. In the center of the plate a rose-strewn, rococo frame surrounds gold text that reads "Compliments of Geo. W. Goshorn, Saugatuck, Mich.
The back of the plate is marked HL, Homer Laughlin Hudson

"Hudson, a copy of a French Haviland line, was first offered by Homer Laughlin in 1908. Although it was largely discontinued in the late 1920s and no longer listed in the 1929 HLC catalog, Hudson examples can be found with 1929 and 1930 backstamps. Hudson [pattern] had a production run of over 20 years, the first HLC line to do so. ...
"Hudson is often found in a white body with floral decals, gold stamps, or a combination of both. Specialty pieces such as plates, large platters, and nappies were made with colorful luster trims.
"The lines is made up of scalloped and embossed shapes, though one has to look carefully for the light embossing found along the rim, particularly on the flatware."Cataloged By
