Autumn landscape painting of view across the Kalamazoo River as seen through dark, bare trees. A green-roofed building is visible on the left. Signed by Saugatuck artist, Robert "Harry" Fort, in lower right corner. The painting displays the characteristic Fort color palette, but the rendering is more Impressionistic with architecture playing a minor role. The relative shakiness of the signature may indicate this was a later painting, when Fort's eye sight was weakening. 3" textured gold frame.
