Notes: Mike Mason was active/lived in Illinois and was a noted painter and lithographer. He taught at the Ox-Bow Summer School of Painting in the 1950s.
This almost decorative image, a great example of the abstraction so commonly explored in the middle of the 20th Century, uses colors very common in the period.
It is full of movement and exuberance!
