The framed painting of yellow iris flowers has "Mrs. Edwin H. House" written on back, indicating it may be the work of Celia's mother, whose name is Celia (Gamble) House. The panel is attached to the back of the frame, rather than held within the frame. The reverse side of the panel was painted over with white, partially obscuring a portrait.
