Context

This special section provides overview information about the educational system in the Saugatuck area. Many of the articles include a byline for Kit Lane and contain information gleaned from back issues of the Commercial Record and other local newspapers. The first article "Saugatuck schools press onward despite fires, consolidation attempts" by Kit Lane tracks the various buildings built, used, burned, annexed, consolidated and demolished for the sake of education.
