B. Sixteen checks bundled in pink twine, signed by the Saugatuck Village Treasurer R.B. Newnham in 1891.
C. Two loose checks from 1897 and signed by clerk L.E. Veits.
D. 8.5x11" black-fabric-covered Saugatuck Village (presumed) check book with only receipts remaining that records payments from 1892-1895. Typical payments include to C.C. Billing for hauling, salaries for R.B. Newnham and A.B. Taylor, to John Hirner for building sidewalks, to the Walz brothers for tallow, to Doc Heath for team work, to multiple payees for street work, hauling and removing garbage.
