Stenciled on the side of the barrel is the text "Mrs. W.H. Allen, Tourist Home, Saugatuck Mich."Context
In 1901, William and Flora Allen bought the collection of buildings that became the Tourist Home resort. In 1933, the hotel changed its name to the Mount Baldhead Hotel.
