Butler St. 100 Block East Side

Name/Title

Butler St. 100 Block East Side

Entry/Object ID

1989.01.39

Description

B/W photo of Butler Street in the winter with parked horse-drawn sleighs or cutters. The photographer was in front of the Village Hall, shooting north to capture the buildings on the east side of Butler Street. A "Niles the Jeweler" sign is visible on the side of 115 Butler. "Saugatuck 1912" or "Saugatuck 1922" is written on the bottom of the print but the presence of Saugatuck House, which was demolished in 1913, suggest 1912 is the correct year. Original accession number is 89-1-39.
