Letter to the friends of "Fursie," Tom Tallmadge and John Norton explaining the establishment of the Frederick F. Fursman Art Foundation (1947) after the death of Lucile Fursman. October 26, 1964 speech signed by Arthur F. Deam on challenges facing the Summer School of Painting (Ox-Bow) including, call to teach only painting (not sculpture, design, etc.), to not become a non-profit organization, to forget the past and personal grievances (between board members), separate mechanical operations from academic function by appointing a business manager, that the chairman of the faculty be an honorary position, that the board of directors appoint the staff, hire two women full time for household duties, that the business manager not interfere with the treasurer's job, hire a bookkeeper if necessary, pay salaries for all jobs, all salaried people in turn "pledge to support the dining room", reinstate Elsa as director emeritus as done in 1958, change days open of dining hall, suggest the following as faculty for 1965: Rudy Pen, Isobel and Betsy Rupprecht, Rattener, Ben Shawn, Chapin, Rob Von Neumann, Sr. and Jerry Landt.
