Emily Parks The Ferry Store c. 1940 | watercolor Notes: Emily Parks spent most of her summers at Ox-Bow 1930 to 1960. She was concentrating on both painting and print making, then directed Red Cross rehabilitation shops in various hospitals and army camps after World War II, before returning as an assistant, then instructor, in the lithography shop. (From Painting the Town by Kit This painting was a gift from Emily to Jean Palmer, who owned the Ferry Store. For years, the watercolor was pinned to a wall in the Mary Kay cottage at Ox-Bow.
